Here is an idea - share affiliate earnings with your visitors & buyers

This idea is really very simple. An affiliate is one who sells some products for a commission. The process usually goes like this - you have a website & you want to sell a product or service from XYZ_123 Corporation. So you write to them, they verify your credentials & intent and then they give you a set of tools to promote their products or services on your website. Anyone who clicks on them and buys something from XYZ_123 Corporation earns you a small commission.

.

In this process, XYZ_123 Corporation wins since they sold something and earned profits. You earn something as a commission. What does your visitor earn? Nothing! Well not exactly nothing. He or she probably earns a good feeling of having obliged you.

I would love to tell my visitor “Hey look, I will earn 5 bucks if you go from my website & buy from XYZ_123 Corporation. And I would like to pass on 2 bucks to you, just to appreciate the fact that you chose to buy through me”. That would be a terrific incentive. And best of all, you are being honest to your visitor.

.

Many of the corporations like XYZ_123 Corporation can easily track what business is coming through you. So all that they need to do is to set you up on their system where you can specify a percentage that you want to offer your customers / visitors as discounts. It is not tough, at least from an IT system’s perspective. That gives you a win-win-win situation! It will cut down on your revenue and probably competition will drive your margins even further down, but I think that’s what I would like to offer to my visitors!

.

So that’s my idea. What’s yours?
