Marketers using Google YouTube – Creative Ways to Reach Creative Audience
Share3M has taken the Google YouTube way to reach out to creative video makers who use 3M Post-It slips. 3M is partnering with YouTube and Google to launch a video contest to search for the most creative uses of its Post-it Notes. Visitors to http://www.youtube.com/postitnotes can create a video up to two minutes in length showing the Post-it Notes used in a unique way and upload it to the site.

3M wants to hear from others on their creative ways of using Post-It. The person that creates the one-in-a-million idea will win $10,000. Every person who enters will receive a free trial of Post-it Digital Notes to use with computers. The contestants will be judged on creativity and originality, demonstration of effective use of the product, appropriateness of content and overall impression.

This is a brilliant direction that Google & YouTube is setting for us. We have already started to see various educational institutions leveraging the immense power of video communication by uploading videos of class room lectures, key note presentations and mass communications on YouTube. Carnegie Mellon University has been one of the more prominent participants who have started to build its culture around Google YouTube too.
