16 April 2008 7 views No Comment

The British firm Tesco, launched in 2000, is all set to take on Apple with a whole set of downloadable offerings. To begin with, Tesco will offer internet streaming music and you could download them like you do with iTunes. They have been providing the service from 2004 in the Windows Media Format.

Commercial Director Graham Harris said that Tesco plans to create an exciting and easy-to-use entertainment shop for all ages and technical skills of customers. Though they are starting off with a comprehensive music offering, TV shows, films and even computer games could also be available to downloads very soon.

Tesco as a company has spread it’s business in traditional food, clothing, furniture, mobile phones, credit cards, gasoline & even into the financial market with credit cards and loan offers. You could read more on this new offering here on the Guardian .
