Wordpress Global Language Translator Plugins – Best Translation Plugins for Wordpress
ShareWe have recently added a global language translation plugin to all our websites. The one we added is written by Davide Pozza called the Wordpress Global Translation Plugin.
We have chose this plugin for the simplicity of use, the ability to choose from different translation engines, the ability to control cache & the integration with sitemaps. We highly recommend Davide’s Wordpress Language plugin.
There are a few other language translator plugins for Wordpress available. Most of them are available free, but we encourage a small donations to the authors for their contributions.
WP Translate by Scott Hough – this is one of the earliest plugins & one of the widely used language translation plugin for Wordpress blogs
Google Translator Plugin by John Pozadzides – this uses the Google Translation engine to translate Wordpress blogs
GG_Translate WordPress Plugin by Adrian Ritchie – links to translate your blog based on the languages the users has set up in their browser
All these plugins are quite capable of translating your blog page into a local regional language. It only matters how flexible they are in terms of choosing the translation engines & whether it does anything to prevent your blog being blocked by any of these engines due to over use.
As I mentioned before, after a few trials, we have started using Davide Pozza’s Wordpress Global Translation Plugin & have been very satisfied with that. We have configured it to use Google’s translation system which gives the closest translation to any regional language.

Global Translator hasn’t been working with Google automatic translation for several days now… And this starts to be discussed on Wordpress.org by users who have the same problem.
